Cookie policy

In plain language

One cookie is set before you choose anything, and it is the one that remembers your choice. Everything else waits until you say yes, and stops when you say no. The table below is the whole list — if you find a cookie on this site that is not in it, that is a bug and we would like to hear about it.

The categories

Strictly necessary cookies have no off switch, because turning them off would mean the site could not remember that you turned them off. They carry sign-in, security and the consent record itself, and they are never used to measure you.

Analytics tells us which pages get read and where people give up. Marketing tells us which advert or search brought you here. Preferences remembers choices you made on the site so it does not ask twice. All three are off until you turn them on.

How the choice is enforced

Google Tag Manager is loaded with Consent Mode v2 set to denied before the container script runs, not after. A tag that needs analytics or advertising storage therefore cannot fire on the way to asking you — the denial is already in place when the container arrives, rather than being applied a moment later.

Your answer is stored in a cookie scoped to proxyhive.io, so answering here also answers for the dashboard at app.proxyhive.io. The two run separate tag containers and read the same consent.

Changing your mind

Use Cookie settings, in the footer of every page and at the top of this one. Withdrawing is one click, in the same place as giving. Clearing your browser’s cookies for this site also clears the record, and you will be asked again on your next visit.
