AdsPower is an antidetect browser: each profile keeps its own cookies, fingerprint and proxy, so you can run several accounts you own side by side without them sharing a session. AdsPower proxy setup takes a minute per profile: create or edit a profile, choose Custom in the proxy section, pick HTTP, paste the host, port, username and password from your order, click Check Proxy, then OK. Opening the profile and visiting https://api.ipify.org shows the IP assigned to it.

What this is for

This guide is about managing your own accounts: several stores, ad accounts or client accounts you operate, each needing a stable identity. Our allowed-use policy permits that where the platform itself allows several accounts. Social platform automation is allowed for accounts you own and for public data collection, and not allowed for mass account creation or engagement farming. Creating accounts to abuse promotions or referral schemes, and bulk unsolicited messaging, are not allowed at all. This is not legal advice; read the policy and the platform's own terms.

Before you start

  1. Buy one static IP per profile you plan to run and open the order in the dashboard at https://app.proxyhive.io. ISP proxies are the usual fit: static addresses on a named consumer carrier, from $3.20/IP for a single IP, with country, region, city and carrier chosen at checkout.
  2. Copy HOST, PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD for each IP. Every IP is its own endpoint, and the order lists separate HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 ports. The dashboard also copies the whole line as HOST:PORT:USER:PASS, which AdsPower reads directly.
  3. Choose username and password, or an IP allowlist on the order. Credentials are simpler if you run AdsPower on more than one machine.

AdsPower proxy setup for one profile

  1. Click New Profile in the upper left (or edit an existing profile).
  2. In the proxy section, click Custom.
  3. Set Proxy type to HTTP (or Socks5).
  4. Paste the line HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD into Host:Port. AdsPower splits it and fills Proxy username and Proxy Password for you. Or type the fields one by one.
  5. Leave Change IP URL empty; it is for mobile proxies whose IP changes on request, and a static IP does not.
  6. Click Check Proxy. "Connection test passed" means AdsPower reached the proxy and logged in.
  7. Click OK to save the profile.

Pick HTTP over HTTPS. AdsPower's help notes that HTTPS proxies cannot be checked from the setup page, and the HTTP type already carries https:// sites encrypted.

Leave the fingerprint defaults alone unless you have a reason. AdsPower matches timezone and location signals to the proxy's IP, and a mismatch is the kind of detail that makes a profile look odd.

Verify the exit IP

  1. On the Profiles page, click Open on the profile.
  2. In that window, visit https://api.ipify.org?format=json.
  3. The ip value should be the IP on the order you pasted. Each profile should show its own.

If a profile shows the wrong IP, recheck which order it points at. To test an IP outside AdsPower, the curl guide does it in one command.

Several IPs: bulk import and one IP per profile

For more than a few profiles, add the IPs to AdsPower's Proxies section first:

  1. Open Proxies and click Add Proxy.
  2. Paste one proxy per line. AdsPower reads, among others:
HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD{Store A}
socks5://HOST:PORT{Store B}

The first line carries credentials; the second suits an IP on the allowlist. The text in braces becomes the proxy's remark, so name each IP after the account it belongs to.

  1. Click OK. When creating or editing a profile, pick the IP from Saved Proxies.

To make many profiles at once, use the + next to New Profile, choose Quick Create, and set the proxies in that dialog.

The rule that matters: one static IP per profile, kept for the life of the account. A site that sees an account log in from the same carrier and city every day has nothing to question. A site that sees five accounts share one address, or one account hop between addresses, has something to look at. Static ISP IPs hold the same address for the term you buy; what an ISP proxy is explains why they read as home connections, and buying a single static IP covers buying exactly as many as you have accounts.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection test failed. Wrong host or port, the port does not match the type (a SOCKS5 port set as HTTP), or wrong credentials.
  • Test passes on one machine, fails on another. The order uses an IP allowlist and the second machine's public IP is not on it.
  • Profile shows your real IP. The profile is set to no proxy, or you opened a different profile.
  • Sites load slowly or time out. Check the IP from a terminal to rule out AdsPower, then read the proxy error codes guide.
