Multilogin X is an antidetect browser that runs each profile with its own fingerprint, cookies and proxy, so accounts you operate stay apart. Multilogin proxy setup with a ProxyHive IP: open Profiles, then Browser, then Create. In the Proxy section choose Custom, pick HTTP or SOCKS5, paste HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD from your order, click Check proxy and wait for "Proxy check passed", then click Create. Start the profile and https://api.ipify.org shows the IP you bought.

What this is for

This guide covers running your own accounts: several stores, ad accounts or client accounts, each with an identity that does not change. Our allowed-use policy permits several accounts where the platform itself allows them. Social platform automation is allowed for accounts you own and for public data collection; mass account creation and engagement farming are not. Creating accounts to abuse promotions or referral schemes, and bulk unsolicited messaging, are not allowed at all. This is not legal advice; read the policy and the platform's terms. Multilogin's own proxies, and when to bring yours

Multilogin sells proxies inside the app. Choosing Multilogin instead of Custom in the Proxy section gives you its residential and mobile proxies, billed by traffic, and its help center describes ISP proxies bought under Billing on Pro 50 and higher plans, each assigned to one profile at a time. If one invoice matters most to you, that is a fair choice.

Bring your own IP when you want to choose the carrier by name, buy exactly one address, or test the same IP from a terminal and other tools. ISP proxies from ProxyHive start at $3.20/IP for a single IP, with country, region, city and carrier chosen at checkout.

Before you start

  1. Buy one static IP per profile and open the order in the dashboard at https://app.proxyhive.io.
  2. Copy HOST, PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD for each IP. Every IP is its own endpoint, and the order lists separate HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 ports. The HOST:PORT:USER:PASS copy format matches what Multilogin parses.
  3. If you use Multilogin in the browser, make sure the Multilogin agent on your computer shows as connected before you start a profile.
  4. Pick authentication. Username and password work from any machine. With an IP allowlist, leave Multilogin's login and password fields blank and allowlist the public IP of every computer that runs the profile.

Multilogin proxy setup for one profile

  1. Open Profiles, choose Browser, then Create (or open an existing profile's settings).
  2. Fill in the General section as you like.
  3. In the Proxy section, choose Custom.
  4. Pick the protocol: HTTP with the HTTP port from your order, or SOCKS5 with the SOCKS5 port. Leave HTTPS alone; HTTP already carries https:// sites encrypted.
  5. Paste HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD into the host field. Multilogin fills the port, login and password fields from it. You can also type them one by one.
  6. Click Check proxy. "Proxy check passed" means Multilogin connected and read the IP's location data.
  7. Click Create.

Leave the fingerprint defaults on Masked

In the Fingerprint section, WebRTC, Timezone and Geolocation data default to Masked. Multilogin's help describes each one as following the proxy: WebRTC reports the proxy's IP, the timezone matches the proxy's location, and coordinates land near it with a small offset. Keep them. A profile whose timezone says Berlin while its IP says Chicago is the kind of mismatch sites notice. Our HTTP vs SOCKS5 guide explains the protocol choice if you are unsure.

Verify the exit IP

  1. Click Start on the profile.
  2. In its window, visit https://api.ipify.org?format=json.
  3. The ip value should be the address on your order, and different for every profile.

Several IPs: proxy templates

For more than a handful of profiles, store each IP once as a proxy template (available from Pro 20 up):

  1. Open Proxy templates in the left menu and click Create.
  2. Name the template after the account it belongs to, choose Custom, and enter one IP as HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD.
  3. Click Check proxy, then Create.
  4. Select the template, click Manage assigned profiles, tick the profile and click Confirm. Or, inside a profile's Proxy section, choose Template and pick it.

Templates also accept a proxy list of up to 25 entries used sequentially or at random. That suits rotating pools, not account work. For accounts, keep one template per static IP and one IP per profile, for the life of the account. A static ISP address holds for the term you buy; what an ISP proxy is explains why it reads as a home connection.

Troubleshooting

  • Proxy check failed. Wrong host, a port that does not match the protocol (a SOCKS5 port set as HTTP), or wrong credentials.
  • "Wrong proxy data". Multilogin's help points at the format: it expects ip:port:username:password. Paste the dashboard's HOST:PORT:USER:PASS line, not the USER:PASS@HOST:PORT one.
  • Checks fail on a correct proxy. Multilogin notes that a manually set system clock can cause connection problems. Set time and time zone automatically in Windows or macOS.
  • Works on one computer, not another. The order uses an IP allowlist without the second machine's IP.
