Residential proxy price comparison: five vendors priced at 1 GB, 10 GB and 100 GB

This residential proxy price comparison puts five vendors side by side at the same order sizes: 1 GB, 10 GB and 100 GB. At 10 GB the lowest vendor rate was Decodo's monthly plan at $3.5/GB plus VAT; without a subscription, no vendor went below $4/GB, and our one-off 10 GB rung sits just under that. At high volume SOAX's $0.85/GB is the cheapest rate on any page, behind a $3,000 a month plan. Every vendor figure below was read on the vendor's own pricing page on 2026-09-29 and is linked so you can check it.

#The five vendors and what we read

We compared the five vendors on our provider comparison pages: Decodo, IPRoyal, Bright Data, Oxylabs and SOAX. For each, we read the public residential pricing page, with prices in US dollars, and wrote down the figure together with the words on the page it came from.

Where a size is missing below, the vendor's page did not list it when we read it. We did not interpolate between two sizes or estimate from a plan total.

#Residential proxy cost per GB compared at 1 GB

The smallest order most people place is the one that tests a vendor. Here is what one gigabyte cost.

At this size the question is less the rate than what you have to buy to get it. Oxylabs' page listed no plan below 5 GB, so the smallest spend there was a $30 monthly plan. Our minimum top-up is $10, and a new account gets 1 GB of residential traffic free, which is enough to run a proper provider test before paying anyone.

#Residential proxy prices at 10 GB

Ten gigabytes is where monthly plans start to beat pay as you go, if you use the whole allowance.

Decodo's monthly 10 GB plan is cheaper per gigabyte than our one-off 10 GB. If you will burn 10 GB every month, it is the better deal on this row, and our Decodo comparison prints both figures next to each other. At 100 GB the monthly plans come into their own.

#The cheapest residential proxies at the top of each ladder

Every vendor advertises a lowest rate. Here is what each one needs.

SOAX also lists $1.50/GB on its Scale plan at $1,500 a month. Both SOAX figures are below the bottom rung of our ladder. If you spend that much on US residential traffic every month and use all of it, SOAX is cheaper per gigabyte than we are.

#Conditions: billing term, expiry, VAT and geo tiers

Two identical rates are not the same price if one expires, excludes tax or changes with the exit country. This is what each page said.

Three rows in that table change the effective price more than any headline:

1. Expiry. SOAX credits expire 60 days after they are added; unused, they raise the cost of every gigabyte you did use. IPRoyal and we do not expire traffic.
2. Commitment. Bright Data's monthly commitment does not roll over. Their pay as you go has no commitment.
3. Geo tier. On SOAX, US traffic sits in the highest tier. A job that needs India pays less there than one that needs the United States.

Trials differ as well. Decodo offers 100 MB for 3 days, after which the chosen plan activates unless you cancel. SOAX states it has no free trial; Sandbox has no fee but includes no credits. Bright Data matches a new account's first deposit, up to $500.

#Where vendors beat us

We sell residential traffic, so read this section as the part of the comparison we would rather skip. It is here because the table above says it.

• Location targeting. Our residential pool has no country, region or city selection today. Decodo lists continent, country, state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting in every plan; Bright Data country, state, city and ZIP at no charge; Oxylabs continent to ZIP at no charge; SOAX country, region, city and ISP; IPRoyal city-level targeting. If your job needs a named city on a rotating pool, buy from one of them. If it needs a named place on a fixed address, our ISP proxies are ordered by country, region, city and carrier.
• Monthly-plan rates. Decodo's 10 GB monthly plan undercuts our one-off 10 GB, and SOAX's Scale and Enterprise plans undercut the bottom of our ladder. We do not sell a cheaper rate in exchange for a monthly commitment.
• Breadth. Decodo, IPRoyal and SOAX sell mobile proxies, which we do not. Decodo offers a 14-day money-back option on residential plans, with conditions on traffic used.

#Methodology: how the figures were read

1. One date. Every vendor figure was read on 2026-09-29, from the vendor's public pricing page, in US dollars.
2. Evidence kept. For each figure we stored the page URL, the date and the text on the page that shows the number. Our comparison pages drop out of search indexing automatically if any figure lacks one of the three, so an unsourced number cannot quietly stay published.
3. No estimates. Where a page did not list a size, the cell says "not stated on the page we read". That means we did not see it on that page on that date; the vendor may sell it through a configurator, a sales contact or a page we did not read.
4. Their words, our arithmetic only where the page did it. Effective rates such as SOAX's $3/GB for 100 GB are the page's own figures. We did not divide plan totals ourselves in this article.
5. Our side from the live price list. ProxyHive figures on this page come from the same catalogue checkout reads, so they cannot drift from what you pay.
6. Re-reading. Pricing pages change without notice. We re-read all five before we update this page or the comparison pages; the date beside each figure is the date it was read. If that date is more than three months old, treat the figure as stale and follow the link.

A price per gigabyte is still an input, not a result. What you pay per successful page depends on success rate and page weight on your own targets, which no pricing page, ours included, can tell you. Run the same targets through your shortlist in the same hour, then divide.
